Colorado Insider: Under the Radar 2016 Corner Infielders

John Cackowski
State Director, Colorado

Recently PBR Colorado put out its first 2015 and 2016 player rankings. With any list that has to deal with rankings there will always be discussion and opinion. In our 2015 list we ranked out to 35, and in our 2016 list we ranked out to 40. We will be expanding both of these lists to 50, 75, and 100 as we get a chance to see more players in events and games. We will be updating 2016 rankings after the 2/22 Preseason All-State event. Below is a list of some 2016 corner infielders  who could move up in our rankings.

Brayden Petroshus: Chatfield
6-foot-1 165 lb. 3B/1B. Bats right, throws right. Athletic player..espeically for first base. Runs well for size. We had him at a 7.29 at Fall Prospect Team Tryouts. Stands tall at the plate with athletic balanced stance with a short load and short path to ball that produces gap to gap power. Bat speed produced 83 mph exit velo at tryouts. Threw 80 mph from first to third. One of the top hitters on a good Chatfield team last spring that made it to the 5A Final 8. Good student with 3.75 G.P.A. We are excited to see Petroshus participate in the 2/22 Preseason All-State Event.
