John Cackowski
Director of Scouting

PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Scouting Report

8-4-18
6-foot-3, 175-pound Right Handed Pitcher. Righty on the mound and throws from an over-the-top arm angle, average arm speed. Toe lift to balance point with average effort leads to some rhythm and helps land in line. Straight fastball averages between 82-83 mph. Gets good extension out front on his curve ball.  Tight spin and late 11/5 break.  Pitch sat 62-63 and was an excellent out pitch in his two innings of work.

1-28-18
6-foot-3, 175-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch. Good lower leg drive on the swing. Hands come through the zone and create good whip. Exit velocity was 82 mph.   In the field he showed good athletic actions, uses his size to close the gap on the ball. Aggressive when fielding with a quick transfer.  Arm played at 82 mph with accuracy. Unique set-up on the mound, stands tall and gets balanced. Strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery.  Arm speed stays consistent on all three pitches. Delivery is from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 78-79 mph with command down in the zone. He added a 66-68 mph Curve with tight spin and finished with a 68-69 mph Change with late down movement.

8-5-17
A 6-foot-3, 175-pound right hand pitcher.  On the mound he starts at a 45 and his rocker step comes forward before going to balance.  At balance he has slight sink and then drives hard to the plate.  Arm is over the top and delivery stays in-line with the plate.  Follow through takes him to first base.  He featured an 81 MPH fastball with late run.  Location was good all day at the TPG.  He added a 68 MPH curve with sharp 11/5 break.  This pitch started in the middle of the plate and moved hard away from the hitter.
