John Cackowski
Director of Scouting

PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Scouting Report

1-28-18
6-foot-2, 180-pound left hand hitting SS/RHP. On the mound he stands tall and gets balanced.  Strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery.  Arm speed stays consistent on all three pitches.  Arm is long and over the top with good extension out front. Fastball was 83-85 mph and got on the hitter quick.  He added a 74-76 mph Slider with good back door break and finished with a 77-78 mph Change with late sink. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone and create good whip.  Exit velocity was 92 mph.   In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts.  He has soft hands and a good glove to hand transfer.  Arm Velocity was 76 mph with accuracy.

3/10/19

A solid, big framed, 6-foot-3, 205-pound right hand pitcher who is mechanically sound on the mound with a drop and drive motion. Gets to the good balance point and smooth hand separation before getting downhill. Fastball has a good downward angle at 87 MPH. Curve is an effective pitch with 11/5 shape at 74-75 MPH. Has feel for the Change at 81-82 MPH. The 2020 RHP has a projectable frame to increase numbers in the future.
