Colorado Yard Dawgs Scout Day 10.30.2021

October 30, 2021, PBR Colorado team hosted the Colorado Yard Dawgs in what we call the Barnstormer Scout Day. This unique opportunity is available for all clubs or high school teams. The event featured hitting and pitching only and allowed for players to update their profiles with new data.

The Yard Dawgs are loaded with committed and uncommitted talent that land in the top of our 2023 state rankings. Today, we take a look at 3 left-handed pitchers that will catch your attention.

2023, Jack Carey, LHP, Regis Jesuit, Big lefty with a low ¾ release.Pitches from the stretch with repeatable delivery. Has good mix. Fastball 78-80 has very good arm side run. Slider 61-63 has a sweeping action. Cutter 68-69 locates in zone. Can see him giving left-handed hitters problems with his + movement and plus command. Strength still to come. Projectable arm!

2023, Ethan Dillinger, LHP, Erie Growing lefty with long levers. Has high leg lift with balanced coil.  Repeats delivery with good tempo each time. High ¾ release. Fastball 79.7 with a range of 75-79. Slider 63-64 with +Spin at 2564. Locates Changeup 65-69. Strength needed. Lots of potential.

2023, Parker Murrow, LHP, Chatfield Parker was a member of the 2021 Team Colorado Futures Team.  He is a ++left-handed hitter. He is still developing as a two-way play. Fastball ranged from 80-82. Pounds the zone with all pitches. CB/SL 66-67 and a Changeup at 71-73. Has lower half strength and coil. Good rhythm with hands above head and high leg kick to delivery.

Top players from this event will have opportunities to be invited to future invite-only events such as the PBR Colorado Preseason All-State, the PBR Future Games and Junior Future Games.
