Baseball is back here in Colorado. Games got started this weekend and have spilled over into week three of the season. Here is a rundown of action from around the state.
Daily Round Up:
Cherry Creek 17 Arvada West 4
The Bruins get the non-league win and were led by, No. 9 2016 Nate Sweeney who was 2-4 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and 1 homerun, 2016 James Herold went 3-3 with 3 runs and 4RBI and No. 22 2017 Andrew Chavez went 2-4 with 3 RBI.
Fairview 10 Northglenn 0
The Knights get a strong performance from 2017 Matt Erickson who went 5 innings giving up 0 runs and striking out 6. At the plate it was 2017 Stone Streeter who was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Rock Canyon 5 Columbine 4
In one of the top matchups in the non-league season, the Jaguars get the win. Rock Canyon was led by; No. 7 2018 Nick Merone who was 1-3 with 3 RBI and 2016 Coby Zimmerman who had a 1-2 day with 1 run scored and 2 RBI. The Rebels were led by No. 28 2017 Chase Anderson who recorded a 2-4 day.
Arapahoe 8 Highlands Ranch 6
The warriors come out on top in this matchup and were led by Hunter Rynders who was 3-4 on the day with 2 runs scored. The Falcons saw a monster day from No. 57 2017 Morgan McIntosh who went 4-5 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and 1 homerun.
Rangeview 12 Denver East 2
The Raiders saw a complete day from 2017 Gonzalo Luevano in the victory. On the mound he went 5 innings with 3 K’s and at the plate he was 2-2 with 1 run scored and 3 RBI.
Grand Junction14 Palisade 1
The Tigers win big and were led by 2017 Andrew Hansen who went 3-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI, 2016 Tyson Zanski who was 2-3 with 1 RBI and 2017 Jax Nourse who went 2-3 with 1 run and 2 RBI.
