PBR Colorado All-Colorado Team: Corners

PBR Colorado will be presenting the the PBR All-Colorado Team over the course of the next week. Players chosen for the PBR All-Colorado Team are players that not only performed well during the season, helped their team have success on the field, but also were seen in front of the PBR Colorado scouting staff in the form of a past PBR Colorado events or a game. We kicked off the PBR All-Colorado team with the Outfielders. Today we announce the corners.

 

Third Base

Sam Ireland 1B / RHP / Mountain Vista , CO / 2019

Committed to Minnesota. 6-foot-3, 195-pound RHP/1B. The two way player had a dominant season for the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles helping lead them to the 5A State Championship. Ireland on the mound went 11-1 in 72 innings carrying a 2.72 ERA. Ireland only surrendered 56 hits, and struck out 77 while also throwing a no-hitter. At the plate, Ireland led the state with 43 RBI's. Ireland clubbed 11 homeruns, to go along with 8 doubles while hitting .400. Ireland was name PBR Colorado as their player of the year which you can read here

 

 

First Base

Justin Olson 1B / LHP / Pine Creek, CO / 2018

Committed to Kentucky. 6-foot-2, 200-pound left hand hitting 1B/LHP. Olson, helping lead the Pine Creek Eagles to the 5A Final 4, concluded a stellar high school career at Pine Creek leading the state with an impressive 14 home runs, one of the top numbers in the nation, while also hitting .525 with 34 RBI's. Olson in his career hit 30 home runs as a 4-year starter at Pine Creek. Olson was also a valuable part of the pitching staff throwing 23 innings going 3-1 with a 1.74 ERA, while striking out 46 batters.
