Q&A with Austin Miller

Q: What has the recruiting process been like for you?

Miller: The recruiting process has been a very unique and exhilarating experience for me. It’s been truly a blessed yet humbling process as I’ve gotten to expose my talents and character, and have been able to develop myself as a player and person through the relationships I’ve made with college coaches and other recruits.

Q: Who has had the biggest impact on your baseball career?

Miller: Greg Riddoch has had a vast impact on my baseball career, as he’s been a great mentor and coach for me by passing down his prior MLB coaching experience. Along with Riddoch is Matt Balogh, my club coach. Matt has opened up many opportunities for me and my teammates, and has made sure I’m playing at my max potential.

Q: What are you most excited about for the ’22 baseball season?

Miller: I’m most excited to see the growth of my teammates and myself, compared to last season. We’ve been putting in relentless hours of hard work and have a chip on our shoulder coming into this season.

Q: What goals do you have for the upcoming season and future?

Miller: For the upcoming season, I want to see myself leading the state in stolen bases, there’s no doubt in my mind that I can achieve that. Another big goal is to host a regional, I feel like that’s something my high school program is due for, which is why the biggest goal I have is to be the best player and teammate I can be.

Q:  In regard to PBR what have you found to be the most beneficial to you?

Miller: Being a part of the talented ‘24 rankings and just the platform PBR has been able to set for me overall has been a huge benefit in showcasing myself.

Q: Lastly, out of all the PBR events you have attended in your career, what has PBR meant to you during your time playing baseball in Colorado?

Miller: Out of all the PBR events I’ve attended in my career, PBR has been such an important avenue for me to not only showcase myself and my abilities, but to set higher standards for myself and see my growth.
