The Colorado Fall Prospect Games will be held October 1st and 2nd at Highlands Ranch High School.  Participants from the classes of 2020-2017 will participate in a pro-style workout and games for the PBR Colorado Staff.  Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to several of the participants, continuing our look is No. 10 2018, C/RHP, Jordan Medina from Highlands Ranch High School.

PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:
Medina:  I primarily play catcher who also pitches and plays infield with a very strong arm who gives 110% effort on every play. I am a great team player who consistently tries to motivate my teammates by example.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?
Medina:  My dream school would be a school with a great academic as well as athletic program with a great coaching staff.

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?
Medina:  One of my best assets is my ability to have a very short term memory regarding my level of play either good or bad. I have learned to always look to the next play and apply what I have previously learned as a means for improvement. I am also a very humble person who works very hard on and off the field.

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?
Medina:  The best baseball advice I have received to this point is to enjoy every moment while your in it and "just have fun".  Never get too high on the highs and too low on the lows as baseball is just a game to be enjoyed.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?
Medina:  I work out 6 to 7 days a week both at the gym and on the field working on different routines every other day. I follow an arm care and maintenance program as well so I don't throw out my arm.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?
Medina:  I don't have a lot of superstitions other than drawing the sign of the cross in the dirt before every plate appearance. My routine before every game is to listen to pump up music and watch MLB/College baseball pump up videos. I also tend to ice my arm the night before a game.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season:  To bat above 500, lead the State in HR's and RBI's, help lead my team to a State Championship and win the Colorado Gatorade player of the year.

Two Years:  To play at a top D1 College program while successfully studying my academic major and/or entering the MLB draft.

Four Years:  Playing in the MLB or a starter on my college team. Becoming a team leader through my actions on and off the field. Starting a foundation for underprivileged kids to play baseball.
