On Sunday, Feb. 6, Prep Baseball Report will host the 20th edition of its prestigious, flagship event: the Super 60 Pro Showcase. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 25 first-round picks and 26 second-rounders.

We've started our march toward the Super 60 by highlighting the prospects set to join us, shining a light on their impressive player profiles that they've groomed through their high school careers, leading them to this point, vying for the attention of the pro scouting community.

Scouting Report

11/01/21

The number one player in Colorado, SS Dylan Carey, has size/athleticism you can dream on at 6-foot-3, 185-pounds and his game translates on both sides of the ball. There’s true power potential in the Nebraska commit’s right-handed bat and he works direct to the ball with lift through the zone. He’s a consistent threat to do damage at the plate and puts up a lot of quality at-bats. Carey looks the part at shortstop with confidence, soft hands and high baseball IQ. It will be really exciting to watch Carey going forward as he adds strength. A high ceiling player and it’s no surprise to see the Ponderosa shortstop so high in the rankings.
