Jeff Markle
Assistant State Director

PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

With our first premier event of 2018 one week away, we wanted to introduce you to players who are registered. Continuing our look at Underclass Invitational participants is 2021 RHP/OF Nick Song of Grandview High School.

PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:

Song:  I don’t lose my composure and have a good attitude every game.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?

Song:  Stanford University

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?

Song:  On the field: I always play hard and I never give up. Off the field: I try to do my best at school and bring the best grades I can.

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?

Song:  Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.  Always have fun.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?

Song:  I played football in the fall and work out in the winter. I throw bullpen once a week to keep my arm loose and also hit in the cages once a week.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?

Song:  I have no superstitions.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season:  Be able to throw low to mid 80’s consistently by the summer.

Two Years:  Look for colleges and go to showcase camps.

Four Years: Commit to a college and hopefully be able to make it to my dream school with baseball.
