Uncommitted Spotlight: 2025 1B/OF Connor Larkin

As we wrap up the 2023 season, we now continue our coverage of the talent we've seen so far this year in Colorado with 'Uncommitted Spotlights' of the top prospects still on the board in the junior class. While there's already prospects in the class committed to programs already, there remains a slew of high-end talent still available.

These spotlights help paint a picture of the prospect with the help of our TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge systems, that provides objective data that teams use to identify and break down players they believe will fit into their system.

Today, we continue our Top Uncommitted Spotlights with a look at 2025 1B/OF Connor Larkin of Cherry Creek HS. Larkin was a top performer during the 2023 Future Games, and comes with plate coverage from the left-side with a top exit-velocity of 94 mph. The junior already has a higher level approach in the box, while he also creates clean leverage with the lower half.

6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way who was arguably the top performer at the event. He was loose and athletic, with a flat bat path and simple movements. Leading to multiple extra-base hits in game play. He was 80-83 from a three-quarter slot with a developing curveball on the mound.  A very exciting player to follow in the 2025 class.

Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Young athletic frame, some present strength with room to fill out.
Delivery: Longer arm action coming through a 3/4 slot.
Arm Action: 76.
FB: T82.7, 80-82 mph. Arm side run and sink. T2263, 2097 average rpm.
CB: 69-72 mph. 10/4 shape, big action. T2320, 2070 average rpm.
CH: 80-81 mph. Firm with arm side fade. T2080, 2078 average rpm.

Arm: LH. INF-76 mph .Longer arm stroke coming through a 3/4 arm stroke.
Defense: Athletic footwork, hands work with good tranfer, smooth actions.
Run: 7.12 runner in the 60.
