2016 Player Spotlight: Garret Rukes - Pine Crest

This week’s 2016 Player Spotlight is on Pine Crest’s Garret Rukes. Rukes is a LHP/1B with a 6-foot-4 175 pound frame. The University of Alabama commit shows a long and loose arm action at a low ¾ arm slot. With a fastball in the low to mid 80’s, Rukes has a good feel for change up. 

With a tall and slender projectable frame, Rukes should add some velo to his fastball. Rukes locates all three of his pitches well which adds to his effective low ¾ arm slot.
