College Crosscheck: Prospects of the BIG, SEC and MVC

After a Junior College District tournament near Chicago on Thursday I headed south to Bloomington (Ind.) where the Hoosiers were hosting Nebraska and Ohio State for a double round robin. With a handful of potential top three round selections, it was the perfect Midwest destination to settle in for a couple of days. 

The Friday night matchup of left-handers, Hoosier Tommy Sommer and Husker Cade Povich, brought a crowd of about a dozen or so scouts. The first game on Saturday (Nebraska vs Ohio State) attracted a few more. However, Saturday’s second game was the main event. It featured McCade Brown (Indiana) opposing the Cornhuskers as more than 40 scouts and some significant decision makers were on hand to evaluate. In addition to the main attraction, there were plenty of other prospects of note on each club:
