The Unsigned Senior Games took place at Henley Field in Lakeland, FL on August 26th. Players took part in a pro-style workout and a game. This event last year had 29 participants commit to schools and this years talent was equally impressive. Today we take a look at the the breakdown of the outfielders in attendance.

Logan Alaniz 2B / OF / Lake Minneola, FL / 2018

5-foot-10, 165 pound middle infielder and outfielder has some present strength and athleticism with room to continue to fill out. In the outfield he comes through the ball well and gets rid of the baseball quickly. His throws were accurate and on line, topping out at 77 mph. In the infield he showed sound defensive actions, topping out at 80 mph. Offensively, during batting practice he beings slightly open with a toe tap load. He stays balanced in the lower half, is level through the zone. He consistently drove line drive from gap to gap in batting practice. In the game he showed the same approach, driving a double the other way into the left-center field gap.

Jordan Brown OF / Camden County, GA / 2018

The 5-foot-9 left handed hitting Brown started the event running a 7.11 60 yard dash. At the plate, he shows bat control and uses the whole field during batting practice. He has a simple setup and load and shows quick hands through the zone. He tends to cut himself off at times, but consistently found the barrell. In the outfield he shows he was comfortable coming through the ball. His best outfield velocity was 73 mph.

Ryan Coleman OF / 1B / Calvary Christian, FL / 2018

The 6-foot-2, 185 pound left handed hitting outfielder posted a 7.7 60 to start the day. He showed average footwork during outfield drills with a 77 mph throwing velocity. At the plate, he has a short load and stride. He works well out in front and looked to pull the ball often in batting practice with loft. Exit velocity was 77 mph.

Adam Gregory II OF / RHP / Nease High School, FL / 2018

6-foot-2, 160 pound long limbed outfield with a ton of room for added strength. He ran a 7.38 60. Offensively, he has a wide base and long arm. There is some length, but long levers generate some power at times. He also tends to cut himself and could benefit from added extension. Showed a feel for the barrell in the game with a base hit. Defensively, he shows quality actions in the outfield with carry on accurate throws topping out at 78 mph.

Drew Spencer OF / Steinbrenner, FL / 2018

Stocky and strong, 5-foot-10, 185 pound right handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, he has a toe tap load and ome present looseness in his hands. His stride tends to be somewhat short, limiting the potential to gain some power from his strong lower half. He shows a feel for the barrel in batting practice and this translated to the game with a single. Defensively, he moves well in the outfield. He showed accurate throws, with carry topping out at 86 mph.

Bobby Turkett OF / RHP / Seffner Christian, FL / 2018

6-foot-1, 185 pound long and lean, left-handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, he shows a short, quick swing, but tends to cut himself off. He is somewhat upright and does not get into his lower half, which could help generate more power. He has shown a feel for the barrel with line drives from gap-to-gap. Defensively, he showed some athleticism and topped out at 78 mph.
