Let’s take a look at the statistical breakdown from this January’s Florida Preseason I.D. Showcase.
Top Fastball Velocity
RHP Bryant Garrison 2016 (Clearwater HS) touched 86 mph with an easy working arm and a lot of upside. Very athletic kid who also is being highly recruited in football. At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, it’s easy to see why.
RHP Shane Roberts 2017 (Dwyer HS) also touched 86 mph with a very good breaking ball to go with it. His arm worked very easy and also has a lot of upside. Both of these guys will see an increase in velocity in the near future.
RHP Jake Senich 2015 (Olympia HS) was close behind after touching 85 mph. Senich was going on very little rest. With his big strong frame at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and sound delivery, he will see gains in velocity as well.
Top 60 Times
The showcase saw two sub 7 second 60 yard dashes and one fairly close.
IMG’s Ryan Caldwell 2017 OF/C ran the fastest 60 yard dash at 6.86 seconds.
Followed by IMG’s Brett Tivnan 2016 OF/RHP at 6.94 seconds.
SS/3B Kevin Lambert 2016 (East Lake HS) ran a 7.05 second 60 yard dash at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds.

The top exit velocity measuring bat speed was from RHP/1B Jake Senich 2015 (Olympia HS) at 89 mph. Also a very athletic looking OF/INF William Walter 2017 (Spruce Creek HS) hit 84 mph along with 8th grader 2019 Tucker Marilla who will attend Oviedo HS and also hit 84 mph.
