Litsch's Lookback: Week 7

Jesse Litsch
PBR Florida Scouting Director

Litsch’s Lookback is a weekly segment that takes a look back at the standouts from that week around the state of Florida. I will be around the state of Florida covering high school an JUCO games each week and highlighting my biggest standouts in this segment.

This past week, I caught a few games in the Clearwater and St. Petersburg areas as well as some JUCO action. Our Area Scout Rocco Iervasi got to check out a big Draft matchup in Wesley Chapel and I gave my take on them as well. Take a look at my biggest Week 6 standouts.

Week 7

2023 Fletcher Hislop, INF, St. Petersburg

Hislop puts together some good at bats, consistently getting the barrel to the ball with hard contact. Shows a good mindset at the dish with good plate discipline. Defensively played solid with smooth hands and has a decent 1st step.

2024 Greyson McNeill, OF, Dunedin

McNeill continues to excel at the dish, he shows a solid approach with a good understanding of the strike zone and sees a ton of pitches in the leadoff spot. He has good barrel control and is able to spread the ball to all fields. Defensively plays a solid outfield with great instincts.

2022 Dillon Costello, INF, Calvary Christian (Seminole State)

Costello continues to swing a hot bat, he shows a consistent approach at the dish with good barrel control. He shows the ability to hit the ball to all fields and has present power to the pull side.
