March 3 Junior Future Games Trials: Complete Results and Top Statistical Performers

Chris Fuller
Kentucky Director of Scouting

On Sunday, March 3, nearly 30 players participated in the first of our Introduction to Showcases/PBR Junior Future Games Trials events at Legends Sports Academy in Louisville. For many players, this was their first showcase event, and they got to see first-hand what a PBR showcase entails. Players and parents were also included in a discussion on the recruiting process and the importance academics, player conduct, and proper use of social media plays in the process.

This event was also an opportunity for players to be selected to represent Kentucky in the PBR Junior Future Games at Lakepoint in August. Players selected for the event will play against other state-selected PBR teams. Last year’s 14U Team Kentucky made the semi-finals of the event before a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Ohio. We will be very conservative with the selection process for the PBR Junior Future Games until after our June Trials events to allow all players the opportunity to attend a Trials event.

NOTE: Players were tested at the appropriate mound and base distances for their respective age groups. Players also used bats legal for their age groups in BP and exit velocity testing.

NOTE: Home to First base times listed were actually 30-yard dash times.
