Marroquin's 11 Ks leads Jefferson over Robinson

Tuesday night Robinson traveled to Jefferson in a matchup that was very close throughout but ultimately Jefferson came out on top by a score of 5-2.

Getting the ball for Jefferson was Mikey Marroquin who limited Robinson to just two runs in his 6 innings of work. Marroquin sat 84-86 mph with his fastball and mixed in a changeup in the high 70s, a slider in the mid 70s, and a curveball in the low 70s. He struggled to find his rhythm early but settled in and found his groove to record eleven strikeouts and his second win of the season.

On the other side of the ball, Robinson’s Jeremiah Henderson led the game off with a single and was driven in by a two-run home run from Tucker Wehrman to deep center field. 

In the bottom of the third, Jefferson's lineup found some life. Jayden Vazquez had a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring one. JaMarques Benton bunted the ball over the third baseman's head for an RBI single and lastly Alejandro Aguilar doubled scoring Jefferson's third run of the inning. 

Joseph Fritz added one for Jefferson as he tripled down the right field line. Cameron Copple added an RBI single as well for his second hit of the night. The Dragons would go on to take this one 5-2.
