Q & A With Alabama Commit Cody Henry

PBR : Why did you select University of Alabama and what do you plan to study?

Henry: Been an Alabama fan my whole life.  Love the facilities and like the coaches.  Plan to study business.  I’ve been up there many times to Tuscaloosa and I feel like it’s the right place for me.  My family has always watched and been around Alabama as I was growing up.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?   

Henry: I have to hit well and compete for catcher and/or first base.  I am not redshirting my freshman year.

PBR: What is the biggest adjustment you feel you would have to make playing next year in the SEC?  

Henry: The pitching is going to better and all around competition too. 

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment?

Henry: Winning a national championship in 2013.

PBR: Who is the most influential person in your life ?  

Henry: My father because he pushes me to help me reach my full potential.

PBR: What are your personal and team goals for this season?

Henry: Personal is to work as hard as I can and team goal is to win another state championship.

PBR: When your baseball career is over, how do you want to be remembered?   

Henry: As a hard worker who gave it everything.

PBR: As a catcher, what do you feel is most important part of your game (i.e. receiving 90-120 pitches, 4 At Bats, Leadership)?    

Henry: The biggest role or impact I have on my team in game is my leadership, keeping everyone focused.
