Today, we will take a look back and highlight some of the top uncommitted players in attendance. These players shouldn't stay uncommitted for long and will make an impact at whichever school picks them up.

Uncommitted Standouts

Evan Ames 1B / OF / Canterbury, FL / 2021

Big 6-foot-5, 215 pound first baseman continues to show a powerful offensive toolset. Left handed hitter uses his extra large frame well to create leverage in the swing producing gap to gap power.

Ian Anderson LHP / OF / Lakeland Christian, FL / 2021

Anderson continues to develop as a two way player. Started his weekend by running a 6.59 60. Shows athleticism and arm strength both in the outfield and at first. Offensively, Anderson has a physical swing that produces above average bat speed and high exit velos. On the mound the southpaw sits in the mid 80’s and looks to be an impact two way player for whoever picks him up.

Will Brown OF / SS / James S. Rickards, FL / 2021

Brown impressed over the weekend starting with his athleticism in the outfield. Ran a 6.90 and showed above average arm strength up to 87 from the outfield. Offensively he found the barrel multiple times in game with several extra base hits.

Garrett Browning 2B / RHP / Sarasota , FL / 2021

Browning showed promise as an athletic two-way player. Can play both the outfield and middle infield, as well as showed upside on the mound. Up to 89 from the outfield with a clean loose arm. Offensively showed a level line drive swing and hit the ball hard consistently in game.

Evan Clark LHP / OF / IMG Academy, FL / 2021

Clark was one of the biggest winners of the weekend as he was a tough at bat for anyone that stepped in the box. Funky southpaw came from a deceptive low ¾ slot. Fastball sat 86-88 T89 and got on hitters quick.

Christian Febus SS / OF / Pro Baseball High, PR / 2021

Febus, a tremendous athlete from Puerto Rico really stood out in our first look at him. Started his weekend with a 6.45 60 time. Showed plenty of arm strength up to 90 from the outfield and 91 from short. Quick feet defensively with an above average glove. Offensively, Febus allows the ball to travel and produces consistent hard contact off the bat. Exit velos up to 101.

Marcus Franco 1B / 3B / Doral Academy, FL / 2021

Franco is a big, strong 6-foot-4, 230 pound first baseman. The physicality profiles well offensively. Showed above average bat speed that translated to gap-to-gap power.

Ty Greene 3B / RHP / Apopka, FL / 2021

Greene was one of the biggest standouts of the weekend as he flashed tremendous two-way upside. The bat really plays as Greene was consistently on the barrel in BP and during gameplay. Led the event with the top exit velo at 103 mph. Showed well on the mound as well with his fastball up to 89 mph.

Kaleb Henry OF / SS / James S. Rickards , FL / 2021

Henry continues to show athleticism all over the field. Played both infield and outfield in game and showed above average ability at both. Quick first step and covers a lot of ground in the outfield. Offensively, Henry has a simple swing that attacks the baseball with quick hands. Henry was able to find holes in the defense all weekend as he was constantly on base with multiple hits.

Kyle Marti SS / OF / Christopher Columbus, FL / 2021

Marti really stood out this past weekend on both sides of the ball. 6.80 runner with quick feet and soft hands defensively. Showed an above average arm up to 89 from short. Level line drive swing at the plate with above average bat speed. Found the barrel consistently in game with several hits.

Aaron Saltsman OF / Rockledge, FL / 2021

Saltsman looked to have gained some more physicality that added to his overall athletic profile. Ran a 6.58 and showed range and an above average arm in the outfield. Twitchy actions offensively with above average bat speed. Gap to gap hitter with flashes of power potential.

Ryan Scarry OF / Coral Reef Senior, FL / 2021

Scarry was perhaps the most impressive uncommitted player in attendance. Tied for the fastest 60 time at a 6.45 and led all the outfielders by throwing up to 94 mph from right field. The athleticism really plays defensively as Scarry has a quick first step and gets to balls with ease. Offensively, has present bat speed with feel for the barrel as he drives the ball gap to gap with high exit velos. A lot to like out of this uncommitted 2021 and he shouldn’t stay uncommitted for long.

There were a ton of talented uncommitted players in attendance at the Senior State Games that coaches should be salivating over. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if all these players and the rest of the uncommitted players in attendance found homes in the next few months.
