Scouting Report

05/20/17- The strong, stocky, 6-foot-2, 205-pounder looks the part. There is strength and athletic actions. He comes through the ball well and has enough arm for left field. At first, he shows quality footwork around the bag with sounds glove actions. At the plate, he starts slightly open and tends to be a little heavy on the front side. He has an aggressive approach and although he can be a bit shouldered, he generates above average bat speed with a quality path through the zone. He has present pull side power and is very strong. The bat should play up enough with enough power to be able to stick at a corner outfield or first base at the next level.

9/17/16- The 6-foot, 200 pound right handed hitting 1B/OF has a strong lower half with shoulders and an upper half that could still fill out some. He showed a quick short swing through the zone with aggressive mostly pull side approach. He tended to square up the baseball gap-to-gap and showed some above average hand eye coordination. As he learns to create a little more rhythm and stay on time more consistently the present strength should turn into some above average power for his class as the bat speed and strong lower half already is present. Defensively he showed a strong slightly above average arm from the outfield and solid actions around first base. He moves well and with the bat and arm strength he projects as a solid corner outfielder at the next level.

4/8/15 - 6-foot-1 195 pounds with an athletic and strong body. A little stiff, loosening up will give him more bat speed. Has average bat speed right now. Quiet at the plate with a small hand load that looks like it helps his timing and gives him more power. Could be a power bat in the future.
