The Illinois Underclass Invitational showcased an extremely talented group of 100 Class of 2016 and 2017 prospects on Sunday at The Max. With the majority of top-ranked sophomores in attendance, it became abundantly clear that Illinois’ 2016 class is loaded with high-end talent.

We will post complete analysis from the event in the coming weeks after we watch the video again, but in the meantime, here’s a quick look at the statistical leaders from the event. What the stat sheet doesn’t show, however, was how impressive the hitters were at the event.

Nevertheless, this year’s Underclass Invitational saw three event records broken: SS Nick Derr’s 6.62 60, RHP Brenden Heiss’ 92-mph fastball, and C Cooper Johnson’s 1.84 pop time (81 mph from crouch).
