BRUNSWICK, GA - This past weekend the second weekend of the 2019 Battle at the Beach took place at various locations around Brunswick, GA. The second night of the weekend, February 23nd, saw three time slots played at three locations.

The very first game of the day saw a talented River Ridge team stack up against Bremen. River Ridge sports two of the top 2019s in Georgia: No.15 RHP Ethan Anderson (Tennessee recruit) and No.13 3B/1B Brandon Smith (Georgia recruit). Anderson was specifically impressive on the mound, running his fastball up to 89 mph.

Game two on the day was my first introduction to a talented squad at Fellowship Christian. The Paladins are as solid of a team as any with senior leaders C Cameron Gil (Wofford recruit) and RHP/INF Isaac Bouton (Columbus State University recruit) and a slew of underclassman who are already producing.

Finally, the weekend ended with a second look at the Redan Raiders, specifically at one of the top 2020 arms in the state No.23 RHP Donye Evans (Kennesaw St. commit). Evans did not disappoint. He used his long, lanky 6-foot-5 frame to create difficult angles for the Glynn Academy offense, while working his fastball up to 85 mph.

Keep reading to view reports and video on standout prospects for day two of the 2019 Battle at the Beach.
