Hudson Graham
Georgia Scouting Director

The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 25 rankings.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Indians return a strong cast of players, but more importantly they have 9 of their arms coming back. In Georgia High School baseball, consistent pitching will win games. Senior, Jordan Bright will lead the way on the mound followed by junior, Josiah Hatchett, & freshman Chubb Jones. Jones has been a name to know in the '27 class with his fastball into the upper 80's and dynamic speed at the plate. They will have a full bullpen of arms that can help them with those pivotal 3 game series in region play. Senior and Georgia Highlands commit, Andrew Carter will lead the offense after a breakout year in 2023. He is as dynamic as they come, and has the hit tool to be a leader in batting average in the region this year. With him and Miles commit, Carmelo Jones in the outfield the gaps will be covered. This will be a big year for the Indians with the talent to make a run in the region and better their 17-14 season from a year ago.
