EMERSON, GA - The 2026 Georgia Senior Games  were held September 5th at LakePoint Sports Complex, bringing together over 175 of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2027 class from across the state. Over 20 + college coaches were in attendance to see these players as the Fall circuit kicks off with the spring season on the horizon. 

Today, we take a closer look at some of the top performers from the infield group. ⤵️

Quick Hits: Infielders

Evan Hollis, SS, 2027, South Effingham
Hollis has fit the “breakout” mold to a tee with a banner year across multiple high-level events. Projectable 6-foot-1, 157-pounds with athleticism throughout and lean strength while holding above-average tools across the board. Was simply flicking baseballs out to the pull-side in an eye-opening round of batting practice. Finished the round with a max 95.8 exit velocity and a max 361ft. distance. Hollis would then one up the round and came through with a HR in-game as he caught a 2K CH that stayed over the plate and sent it over the RCF wall. Left-handed stroke stays well-connected throughout with an accurate barrel in a direct path to contact while creating leverage through the zone for easy pull-side carry. Transfers weight well while staying balanced and fluid mover through impact. Clean actions in the dirt with potential long-term home at SS with soft hands and excellent instincts for range in the middle of the field while working through the ball well. Bullish on the overall ceiling with still so much more to tap into and can become a name to know on the national stage in due time. 

Parker Troughton, SS/OF, 2027, Pope
Another week, another standout showing for Troughton as he has fully opened the Fall circuit on a mission. Athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounds with tools throughout and feel to hit in the box. Max 94.2 and average 89.9 exits velocities in batting practice to go along with a max 364ft distance. Carried it over in-game as he came through with a loud pull-side 2B into the left center-field gap. Always stays within himself at the plate with fast hands in a compact path and delivers an accurate barrel. Body control with strong pitch recognition and ability to adjust in-zone backed by present zone awareness while working both gaps extremely well. Athleticism will carry the defensive profile long-term with advanced instincts to make an impact at a plethora of premium positions and always seems to come through in huge spots. Stock has been rising at a rapid rate and holds a high-floor with still plenty more to tap into towards the ceiling. 

Quinton Peterson Jr., 1B, 2027, Baconton Charter
One of the top power bats in the class for the state coming into the event and simply put on a show during a potent round of batting practice. Advanced raw strength in the ultra-physical 6-foot-4, 266-pound frame as he sent multiple way out to the pull-side for towering shots. Posted a max 101.2 and an average 93.6 exit velocities paired with a max distance of 381ft. (2nd in-event). Heavy barrel in an uphill path with present hand (23.4) and bat speed (79.7) and ability to rotate (Max 25.9). Controlled movements and utilizes a toe-tap trigger to stay balanced while keeping his head quiet through impact. Put together good swings in-game while showing adjustability to spin and aptitude to work the entire field well. 

Chase Carmichael, MIF, 2027, Grayson
The Grayson product has been a standout amongst staff over the years and further added to the track record of production this past weekend. Athletic 5-foot-10, 163-pounds with tools throughout and a well-connected left-handed cut. Ran a quality 7.12 60-yd. Lived on the barrel in a polished round of batting practice as he produced a max 95.2 exit velocity where he peppered both gaps throughout. Kept things rolling in-game where he matched plane on an elevated fastball and sent it into the left center-field gap for a triple. Creates excellent barrel length in an on-plane path with accuracy in the barrel and gap-to-gap strength present. Zone awareness and pitch recognition stand out with ability to do damage amongst various mixes. Tools to stick in the middle infield and bat-to-ball skills will carry the overall profile. 

Walker Brannen, 1B/RHP, 2027, Tift County
Brannen has been a steady piece down South for the Blue Devils in recent years and put together a solid performance this past weekend at LakePoint. Compact 5-foot-9, 185-pounds with feel to hit in the box. Worked the middle to the field well during batting practice where he finished the round with a max 89.9 exit velocity. In-game Brannen would hunt a first pitch fastball and drive it into the right center-field gap for a standup double as he further added to his day. Well-balanced through the leg-lift load and generates strength from the ground-up. Quality length and barrel stays in the zone forever with feel to manipulate planes backed by present hand (Max 25.9) and bat speed (75.6). Brannen would show well in an inning of work of the mound as well. Hides the ball well from a compact action and consistently kept batters off-balance with the full mix. Fastball operates in the mid-upper 70s and feel to spin three different breaking-balls off it with command for whiffs. Brannen is going to hit and will provide value to the success of a lineup with another standout spring looming on the horizon. 

Aydan Andrade, 1B, 2027, East Coweta
It was an outstanding showing for the 6-foot-3, 191-pound first baseman, who still holds plenty of projection remaining in the lean frame. Compact left-handed swing holds advanced feel for the barrel backed by present hand (Max 24.8) and bat speed (Max 76.4). Ability to generate hard-hit line-drives across the field is obvious as Andrade would finish 3rd in the event with an average EV at 93.7 (Max 98.7) and can show significant raw power at times with an event-leading 382ft. max distance. Defensive actions remain high-level at first base with ability to bend despite a high-waist and show hands to clean things up. Gameplay would only take Andrade’s day to even higher level, picking up a pair of barrels for hit including maybe the most impressive swing of the day as he sent a 3-2 pitch two-thirds up the light pole in RF for a no-doubter. There’s tools and production to provide instant value at the next level and positioning himself nicely for a huge senior campaign. 

Truett Hardy, 2B, 2027, Woodstock
Hardy made strides across the profile throughout 2026 and showed well throughout an impressive senior games performance. Stocky 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame holds present strength throughout and shows ability to maximize the frame without selling out. The second baseman would put together a strong, mature round of BP, showing ability to stay coiled and loose hands through the zone that's backed by present barrel accuracy. Found loud contact with nearly every swing in the round, producing an average exit velocity at 89.5 (Max 97.1) and feel to drive balls across the yard. Hardy added 7 MPH to both his average and max exits dating back to Preseason All-State in January. The barrel party continued in-game with the uncommitted keystone coming through with a pair of pull-side 2B alongside quality defense at second. In-line to be a major piece for Woodstock this upcoming spring and could have a chance to strengthen the high-floor profile even more. 

Cason Taylor, SS, 2027, Carrollton
Taylor would show tools across the board in what would be a great way to open the fall for the uncommitted shortstop. Wiry 5-foot-11, 154-pound frame has plenty of room to add good weight/muscle going forward with present athleticism to match. Compact, balance path from the right-side at the plate with some barrel accuracy and length showing in a pull-side heavy approach. Ball was jumping at contact and was able to generate exit velocities up to 100.1 in the strong round. Defensive actions would be equally impressive with Taylor displaying strong lateral actions and one of the better of the better infield arms of the day, finishing 3rd in-event at 86. The shortstop would round out his day with a strong 6.87 in the 60 and could be presenting himself a strong opportunity at SS for Carrollton this upcoming spring. 

Nathan Hester, MIF, 2027, West Laurens
The hit tool for Hester was on full display in the midst of what was a standout showing for the West Laurens shortstop. Athletic 5-foot-10,168-pound frame with ability to generate strength from the ground up and exudes excellent balance in a simple setup at the plate. Present bat speed (Max 77.1) with a direct path to contact and feel to live through the middle of the field extremely well. Gameplay swings may have been more impressive as Hester would put together a multi-hit performance that would use the whole field as well as against both spin and velocity. Good defensive instincts up-the-middle can keep the senior in the dirt at the next level with arm strength that will likely play better at 2B long-term. This is strong profile with an impressive floor that can check a ton of boxes quickly. 

Gabe Grubbs, SS, 2027, Fitzgerald
Grubbs has stacked strong performances for our staff over the last calendar year and comes through again, this time on a big stage. Frame remains physical at a barrel-chested 5-foot-10, 197-pounds with strong lower half that can generate easy raw power. Simple path to contact from the right-side, getting the front foot down quickly with strength from the ground up and leverage through the zone. Generated exit velocity near triple digits, finishing with new max at 99.5 and peppering the wall in LF. As good as the BP cuts were, Grubbs would add one of the better swings in-game with a loud HR to LCF off an inner-half fastball. Gamer qualities litter the profile with a chance to profile across the dirt and will help a team at the next level in many facets. 

Casey McBride Jr., MIF, 2027, Georgia Premier Academy
Uncommitted. McBride Jr. showed off all the tools of his game on a big stage. The 5-foot-8, 163-pound MIF’er impressed all around running a 6.58 60 placing 3rd at the event and showed strength with the swing tool reaching 88 EV. He has rhythm with the stick as he uses a leg kick trigger and powerful rotation in the hips throwing the hands through the zone. McBride Jr. brings a strong arm to SS/2B with a velo of 90 showing true athleticism on display across the diamond. In the game, he struck a hard oppo 1B into RF catching the ball deep and staying through it with length ITZ. He showed twitchy movements in a controlled, aggressive swing generating power from the ground up. With his senior season coming in the spring, McBride Jr. is one to keep eyes on at Georgia Premier Academy. 

Jackson Fletcher, 3B/2B, 2027, Greenbrier
Uncommitted. The 3B started off the event with an impressive round of BP posting a max EV of 93 while finding the sweet spot 90% of the time. The stroke starts with a little toe-tap trigger as the hands get into ready position with a controlled load resulting in a swing full of barrel accuracy. Fletcher’s BP was full of line-drives and showed the ability to generate backspin with carry on the ball. There is still room for growth at the corner infield with a IF velo of 78 but that will develop over time as he fills out his 5-foot-7, 172-pound frame. Fletcher showed B2B skills in gameplay staying within himself and understood his approach at the dish. There is a lot to like about Fletcher and he is looking to have a big senior campaign with Greenbrier while teams will be looking at him for the next level. 

Eli Wood, 1B/OF, 2027, Coffee
Uncommitted. Wood put on a show on both sides of the ball at the Senior Games. Not only did he put up some healthy AB’s but he also displayed his stuff throughout a couple innings of work on the rubber. The switch hitting 1B/OF was an intriguing watch in BP delivering the barrel with controlled swings on both sides of the plate. Wood’s stroke consists of quick hands and a toe-tap trigger keeping it relatively similar in the RH and LH swing. He put up a max EV of 96 with a max distance of 371ft while also running a 7.15 60. During gameplay, he roped a 3B down the RF line staying on an inside heater with feel to spray the ball gap to gap. Wood threw two scoreless innings pounding the zone with all his pitches and showed ability to P2C. His FB sits 82-84 with ASR, CB sits 71-73 with depth, and worked a tumbling CH in sitting 72-74 with feel for the R/R matchup. Wood’s pitchability stands out along with the stick as his projection continues to grow. He will be a big asset to any team at the next level as he is coming down the stretch in his final spring with Coffee. 

Andrew Kelley, SS, 2027, North Cobb Christian
It is hard not to like the athleticism that Kelley has, and that athleticism continues to translate to the game with improved metrics each time we have seen him over the last year. He had a consistent round of BP with a max EV of 95.3, and average distance of 254ft. The athleticism was on full display with the event best, 30.7in vertical jump. The swings in game play is what were most impressive. He was working deep counts, not chasing pitches out of the zone and ended up finding the barrel on a pull side double. Kelley is going to a heavy follow into his senior year, and is just going to keep getting better throughout the year. 

Koa Peters, 1B, 2027, Lambert
Peters put together one of the louder offensive performances of the event, posting a max EV of 99.2, with an average EV of 90.2 during BP. The physical 6-foot-3, 209-pound RHH followed up the BP round with a huge 2R HR to LF during gameplay. Creates plenty of separation with the stride while maintaining balance throughout. Peters showed good discipline at the plate with some adjustability in the swing on off-speed offerings. Strength is evident throughout the frame, while still being able to move athletically, showing clean actions on the IF dirt at 1B and running a 6.9 60-yard dash with a 3.89 30-yard split. Peters profiles as a clear middle-of-the-lineup option at the next level, coming off a strong summer campaign, where hit and power tools both continued to progress in each look. 

Jameson Jones, 1B, 2027, Mountain View
Jones put together one of the more eye-catching offensive performances of the day, posting the top average distance of 290ft, the 2nd-best average EV at 93.9, and the 4th-best max distance at 377ft. During gameplay, Jones continued to hit, collecting multiple doubles into RF. The ultra-physical 6-foot, 237-pound LHH generates plenty of power to the pull side with a swing conducive to creating loft with evident strength and natural juice in the profile. Jones looks primed to carry this momentum throughout the fall and into spring with Mountain View. 

Brody Spann, MIF, 2027, Strong Rock Christian
Spann put together an intriguing all-around day. Defensively, Spann showed glove side range and the ability to throw from varying arm slots, while looking comfortable around the ball. Offensively, Spann showed present bat-to-ball skills with sneaky pull side pop, posting a max EV of 92.3. The swing starts with a simple load, allowing Spann to be on time for velo and adjust to off-speed. During gameplay, the 6-foot, 181-pound RHH continued to stand out, collecting 2 pull-side doubles and a pair of RBIs. Bat speed, barrel control and approach all stand out offensively. Spann looks to be an instant impact at the next level, providing an advanced offensive profile from an athletic glove up the middle, and is poised for a big senior year at Strong Rock Christian. 

Jhacobe Campbell Jr., 2027, SS, North Cobb
Campbell Jr.started the day with a clean round of BP highlighted by a max EV of 91.2 and a max distance of 343ft. Evident gap to gap, line drive approach from a well synced swing timing mechanism. Athletic look in the box with some adjustability in the swing. Campbell Jr. then carried the athleticism over to the 60-yard dash and posted a 6.76 with a 3.81 30-yd split. Defensively, Campbell Jr. was smooth up the middle, showing a clear confidence with the glove. During gameplay, Campbell Jr.continued to flash the hit tool with a line drive back up the middle, while showing some gamer traits throughout. Overall solid showing from the 5-foot-9, 161-pound RHH, with a lot of traits to like heading into an intriguing senior year at North Cobb.
