After spending Opening Weekend of The Scouting Trail driving back and forth on I-40 between Wake Forest and North Carolina State Universities, I decided to scout at just a single location in Week Two. With several pitchers in our Top 350 2019 Prospects where better to do this than at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta to see UCLA at Georgia Tech. As for tools and talent, here’s what I saw...

No. 153 Connor Thomas, LHP, Georgia Tech- Medium framed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Thomas is a high pitchability lefty with a great feel. Repeats an athletic delivery with a full arm path to a three-quarter slot. He’s a coach’s dream; works quick, competes, holds runners, quick to the plate, mixes pitches and throws strikes with all of them. Fastball peaked at 89, sitting 86-88 mph.
