FL: Ft Myers Underclass Standouts

Doug Freeman
Florida Scouting Director

Team from across the country converged on Ft Myers, FL to compete over Columbus Day weekend. Many of the top players in both the 2020 and 2021 classes were in attendance. While there were plenty of familiar faces, some of which we will still highlight, we take a look at a number of uncommitted or less familiar names who either stood out or made a jump from the last time we have seen them. Perhaps the biggest winner of the weekend for me was Cole Stallings, who dominated in his start and has made some huge strides.

Ryan Bruno is one of those familiar names, who was a 2017 Team Florida Future Games participant, who also stood out and continues to make large strides. A pair of uncommitted 2021 catchers in Dylan King and Rene Lastres made an impactful impression along with on of the top uncommitted 2021 pitchers in Owen Flynn and a top uncommitted outfield in Jackson Mayo. Overall, we take a look and breakdown over 25 standout. Make sure to sign in or subscribe to check out the breakdown of each one.
