Gate City Titans Scout Day: Quick Hitters-Position Players

Matt Payne
Director of Scouting, PBR of NC

PBR of NC was on hand at Ted Leonard Park in Greensboro, NC on Saturday April, 3rd for a Scout Day with the Gate City Titans. 31 players participated in the scout day with their grad years ranging from 2021-2023.

Position players started the day going through a full pro-style workout. The workout started with players running a laser timed 60, followed by an offensive and defensive evaluation. Trackman was used during live BP to gather ball flight information. Radar guns were used to gauge arm strength during the defensive workout with PBR scouts grading footwork, hands, accuracy and carry. Pitchers finished the day throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting data on each arm.

Below we begin our breakdown of the players in attendance highlighting some of the position players in attendance.
