PBR Georgia Player of the Week: RHP Zach Kwiatkowski & SS Brooks Hardie

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

The final regular season Player of the Week is here. It was a pressure packed week with teams across the state still jockeying for playoff position. There is some added value to clutch performers, especially this late in the season. Our Pitcher of the Week is a perfect example of that. RHP Zach Kwiatkowski (Hebron Christian; East Georgia State) tossed a no-hitter against Providence Christian to help the Lions secure the No. 2 seed heading into the postseason. Kwiatkowski's final line was: 7.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K. His only walk came in the third inning to the leadoff batter. To cap off his performance, Kwiatkowski made the decision to commit to East Georgia State following the game.

On the other side of things, our Hitter of the Week, SS Brooks Hardie (Bremen; Snead State) was a driving force offensively helping Bremen claim the 2A-5 region title. For the week, the senior's stats were: .714 BA, 2 2B, HR, 6 R, 2 RBI, 5 BB. On the season, Hardie leads the team in batting average at .411. His play up the middle has also been instrumental all season long in the Blue Devil's success.
