2021 - 2025 Grads Standout at Tradition Baseball Weekend

Matt Payne
Director of Scouting, PBR of NC

PBR was on hand at McCray Park in Asheboro, NC for an event put on by Tradition Baseball Tournaments. The event featured some middle infield standouts, a couple strong performances by left hand pitchers, and a 2025 prospect that stood out in the box and on the mound.

Played over two days, each team played 3 games with PBR Scouts on hand for the entire weekend.  Six clubs brought their teams into the competitive environment.  Below are player reports from the weekend.

Jaylin Brunson, 3B/1B, 2021

Strong, athletic build. Multiple extra base hits on the weekend. Drove the ball with authority to the left center gap. Right hand hitter, sets up slightly open, relaxed hands and balanced swing. Drives his lower half through the ball with his barrel working short to the ball, hands have quickness with better than average bat speed through the zone. Aggressive approach with feel for his barrel.
