Summer Uncommitted Spotlight: Tucker Hale

Prep Baseball Georgia
Staff

Uncommitted. Strong outings from Tucker Hale this summer as he continued to impress on the mound. Showed promise out of the pen with runners on, and consistency whenever he started games. At the first glance of the summer at Georgia State Games, he threw only three innings but did not surrender a hit and only gave up one walk as his team run-ruled their opponent. Collects whiffs on all three pitches and occasionally mixing in a SL for a solid four pitch sequence. Pitched a quality pair of innings at our Top Prospect Games showcase where he flashed his CH and collected whiffs going away from righties and worked in the FB that cut in to jam righties as well. FB stayed consistent throughout the summer, sitting 86-85 with IVB and natural tail with a 2 sm. CV sat in the upper 70's, 77-76, with 2344 rpm. 12-6 arch that we saw collect weak contact and ground ball outs.

Uncommitted. Works from the stretch. Flirted with a no-hitter for 3 innings before his outing ending in the 4th. Had 6K’s // 1 BB // 3.0 IP. Hale had two consistent pitches that he relied on for the outing, FB (85-83) cut horizontally from the pitcher's glove side that came in on RHH. SL (74-73) late bite, good vertical movement away from RHH. Final inning stateline: 12 pitches, 3K’s, the last 9 pitches were all FB, all of which were whiffs.
