The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR IA COMMITMENT SPOTLIGHT

PBR: Why did you choose Kirkwood CC?
FROST: I chose Kirkwood because I really liked the enthusiasm of all the coaches. They really went out of their way to make me feel welcome in their program. Also, my sister, Morgan, played softball at Kirkwood and had a great experience.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
FROST: I was considering Southeastern and DMACC.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
FROST: I had a little interaction with them early in the season but their interest peaked during the postseason. They reached out to me after each game and followed our team.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
FROST: Yes, I am glad I got the decision out of the way and I’m excited to start. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
FROST: I felt they would be able to get me to the next level more than any other program.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
FROST: My father has been my hitting coach all my life and has helped me become the player I am today.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
FROST: I really didn’t know what to expect with the recruiting process but Kirkwood made it pretty easy. I liked them right away.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
FROST: It sounds like I may be somewhat of a utility player. I can play infield or outfield.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
FROST: Winning the State Tournament this summer is my best baseball memory.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
FROST: In High School I would say Austin Krob from Lisbon, Taylor, Burt, Paulus & Fitzgerald from Mason City Newman and Tyler Tscherter from GR. In travel ball when I was younger probably Wentworth and Moeller.
