PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Porepp: Wartburg, Central, Northwestern, Luther, Cornell, and Simpson

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
Porepp: I’ve visited Wartburg and Central.  I plan to visit Northwestern along with other schools in the upcoming months.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Porepp:  I’m looking for a school with a strong academic program in business/sports management.  One that has a strong baseball program that will assist in my continued development, and where I can make contributions to the team’s success.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Porepp: I pitched 60 1/3 innings with 53 strikeouts, ending the season with an ERA of 1.74. Playing state at Principle Park with all my teammates, and being named CIML 2nd team All District Players, and Honorable Mention for All Conference Players.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Porepp:  I will continue to focus on my academics, ACT score, and attending college visits to find the best fit for me.  Athletically I want to focus on strength and conditioning, pitching, hitting, and overall getting stronger.  The most important thing is to enjoy my senior year, along with the experiences that come with it.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Porepp:  I play hockey for the Des Moines Capitals, and last year was named assistant captain for the team.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
Porepp:  Currently my GPA is 3.267. I took the ACT in late October.
