PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
KOLACIA: I have had a good amount of coaches from the Juco level contact me, such as Iowa Central, NIACC, Iowa Western, Southeastern, St. Charles CC and a few more. I’ve also been contacted by some coaches at the 4 year level such as Buena Vista, St Cloud State, Augustana, Valparaiso, and South Dakota State.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
KOLACIA: I have been on a good number of visits, which has helped me gain an understanding of what is out there and the different things that each program brings to the table. There are also a few more schools that are reaching out to try to schedule some future visits.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
KOLACIA: I am looking for a place that will help me develop not only as a baseball player, but also as a student. I want to go somewhere that will help lead me in the right direction for a possible future in a Physical Therapist career. Other things I look for is a developmental program that fits the type of baseball player I am.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
KOLACIA: One highlight of my junior year was throwing 88 off the mound for the first time. That was a big milestone for me. Then being able to throw 88 multiple times after that. Another highlight for me was my high school season. In a shortened Covid season I went 18 innings and having 37 strikeouts, I felt I had increased my productivity and effectiveness on the mound.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
KOLACIA: I really want to dive deep into my off season and continue to develop not only as a pitcher, but overall as an athlete. A goal of mine would be to reach 90 before I head off to college, and develop my secondary pitches even further. Another goal of mine is to gain both size and strength over this upcoming off season.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
KOLACIA: I play basketball and track as well. After last track season being cancelled, our high school team is wanting to work hard and hopefully make it back to state to run and compete for another state title.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
KOLACIA: GPA: 3.996 / ACT: 25
