Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-9, 175-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Square stance, easy leg kick trigger, hard gap to gap contact, line drives and fly balls off bat.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph.
Defense: Lighter on his feet, avg. tempo, sure hands, accurate to bag.
Run: 7.06 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Simple repeatable delivery, lands inline, upright at finish.
Arm Action: RH. Short compact arm action.
FB: T80, 78-80 mph. Straight, strike thrower.
CB: 67-69 mph. 12/6 break with solid depth.
CH: 72-73 mph. Slight running action with feel for zone.

5-foot-8, 170-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.06 runner.  Upright and open stance.  Some rhythm in load.  Toe tap trigger and hand load down.  Good swing plane with quick hands.  Mid/pull approach with mainly line drive and fly ball contact.  Consistent and solid contact and flashed strength in barrel.  87 mph exit velocity.  OF- Good feet and moves well to ball.  Good glove and fields ball clean.  83 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry.

 

 

3/11/18- 5-foot-8, 165-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.25 runner. Physical for age, easy body load, tips barrel with high back elbow, some length to contact, inconsistent during batting practice but when on time makes hard loud contact to middle of field, 84 mph exit velocity. Sure hands with solid actions in field, confident fielder, above avg. arm with carry and accuracy, 86 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; longer rocker step, high knee at balance point, has body control with rhythm and tempo in delivery. Occasionally underneath fastball on release; when on top shows above avg. running action at 79-80 mph. 11/5 breaking ball has avg. shape and spin; with early break to plate. Turns changeup over, solid feel for zone, slows arm slightly, consistent strikes. Strong follow in 2021 class.

 


 

 

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you? 
LUZUM: Upper Iowa, Northern State, Luther, Central, Simpson have all expressed interest.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future? 
LUZUM: I've taken a visit to Upper Iowa and plan on taking a few more soon.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.) 
LUZUM: A good coaching staff that has energy and a will to win, along with a high interest in all of its players. On the academic side I'm looking for a place that will set me for success in my future job.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year? 
LUZUM:  Just getting the opportunity to play was special due to COVID, but also the way I pitched last summer going 5-0 and earning first team all-district is something that I want to keep building on into the future. 

PBR: What are your goals for this year? 
LUZUM: My goals for this coming year are to develop a lot in my fielding and become more powerful at the plate. A big goal is to get our team to state as we return almost our entire roster and to also earn an all-state.

PBR: Do you play any other sports? 
LUZUM:  I play football, basketball, and run track.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA? 
LUZUM: ACT: 22  GPA: 3.65
