RHP Landon Fink Fans 8 Goes 4-4 at the Plate, Greenwood Romps Decatur Central

Greenwood, IN-- The Greenwood Woodmen sent ace Landon Fink (2013) to the mound Tuesday night, to face conference foe Decatur Central.  Fink’s fastball sat at 81-84 mph throughout the game showing good arm side run. He also threw a good curveball that he consistently threw for a strike.

The Woodmen’s bats were active on from the start, pounding out 12 total hits in the game. In the first they got on the board with a two run homerun from Alex Krupa (2013, IU commit). Fink would double after that and later scored on Mitch Monroe’s (2012) RBI single. Greenwood would add three more in the third after Fink doubled again to lead off the inning, and later scored on a passed ball. Greenwood added two more runs in the inning one on an error,  allowing Ethan Bailey to score, and the other on a passed ball allowing Monroe to score.

In the fourth with two outs, Krupa had a bunt single to get the offense going.  After Krupa’s bunt the Woodmen followed up with three consecutive RBI hits. Fink singled to bring home Krupa, who stole second base. Connor Beidelman (2013) then doubled to the wall bringing around Fink, and Ethan Bailey (2013) singled in Beidelman to put Greenwood up 9-1. Greenwood added another run in the 6th when Fink picked up his fourth hit of the day doubling to right field again bringing home Krupa, who previously singled to lead off the inning.
