6. Noah Burkholder

Noah BurkholderCrown Point senior right-handed pitcher Noah Burkholder was the sixth most viewed player in Indiana for 2014.  The 6-foot-6, 190 pounder spent most of 2014 battling back problems, but pitched through the pain most of the summer.  The issue come to find out was Kyphosis, a curvature of the spine, something that can be corrected by Burkholder doing 15 minutes of specific exercises each day. Burkholder pitched well this fall with a fastball touching the low 90's at times and a good breaking ball with depth in the mid-70's. He's currently ranked No. 3 in Indiana's class of 2015 rankings and No. 12 in PBR's overall 2015 rankings.

SCOUTING REPORT

Projectable 6-foot-6, 190 pound righty with long limbs.  Pitches with a simple, clean delivery with a fastball that sits in the upper 80's, touching the low 90's at times. Good mid-70's curveball with depth. Mixes in a changeup and slider--a pitch he recently added to his arsenal.  A good 2015 spring could put Burkholder in serious consideration as a top draft pick next June.  He's committed to Louisville.
