Initial Kentucky Class of 2015 Player Rankings Released

By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director

The initial Class of 2015 player rankings have been released as we have identified plenty of talent in the class since we began operations in Kentucky last fall.  As these players begin to take the field for their sophomore season, look for plenty of movement and addtions to the list as these players compete for their spot in the rankings over the coming years.

At the head of this class is Christian Academy of Louisville RHP Riley Thompson.  The 6-foot-3, 165-pound Louisville commit runs his fastball up to 89 mph.  In addition to his big arm, his extremely projectable frame should allow for even more velocity to come for the sophomore.

South Laurel SS/RHP Daniel Neal holds down the No. 2 spot in the rankings.  The two-way standout made a big impact at the varsity level as a freshman, compiling a 9-1 record on the mound behind a mid-80's fastball and showed big-time power at the plate by stroking 9 HR.  The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Neal will be a force to be reckoned with the next 3 years at South Laurel.
