Scouting Report
Simpson recently showed an uptick in velocity to go along with his projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame. Working from a high-3/4 slot with loose arm action, Simpson has made a 3-5 mph jump from the fall with his fastball now sitting 87-88, topping out at 89 mph. He shows some feel for a 70-73 mph curveball while also mixing in a solid 76-77 mph changeup.
