Most teams around the state kicked off their season last week, meaning we had plenty of statistics to sift through in selecting our first Pitcher of the Week this spring. There were several worthy candidates nominated, but looking through the numbers, one player stood out as deserving this week’s honor.

In helping lead No. 11 South Warren to a 6-0 start this season,  RHP Chandler Harnage came up big for the Spartans last week. The uncommitted senior won two games in allowing four walks and racking up nine strikeouts. He compiled a 0.64 ERA in the two games while consistently pounding the strike zone.

For his efforts on the field, Chandler Harnage has been selected as the PBR Kentucky Pitcher of the Week for last week.
