5-foot-10, 155-pound, RHH hits from a square stance and uses a short stride, stays quiet with no wasted movement, engages lower half well and gets good separation, generates premium bat speed for age, shows quick hands on inner half pitches, flashes occasional gap power and makes hard contact to all fields, has potential to be a high-level hitter. Shows soft defensive hands with good athleticism, has a high-3/4 release that produces accurate throws, good arm strength for age with carry across the diamond. Beard is a potential high-level prospect from the 2020 class who will likely stick as a SS.
