Louisiana State recruit, IF Cade Doughty (Denham Springs HS, LA) is set to attend Saturday. Currently ranked No. 1 in Louisiana’s 2019 class, and No. 23 Overall, Doughty is an explosive athlete that has been a consistent high-level performer. Dugas has posted a 6.75 60-yard dash time in the past, showing high-level athleticism. A right-handed hitter, Doughty uses a simple, compact stroke, showing strength at contact, bat speed and consistently puts the barrel on the baseball.

2019 LHP Will Thompson (Sam Houston HS, LA) is one of the top available left-handed pitchers in Louisiana’s 2019 class. With a lanky 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame, there is plenty of upside to like if you are a college coach. The athletic southpaw has run his fastball up to 84 mph in the past, and as he continues to add strength to his long levered frame, velocity should continue to trend upward.

The event features several members of Louisiana's 2018 PBR Future Games squad, including uncommitted 2020 prospects OF Joe Delaney (Brother Martin HS, LA) and C Benjamin David (Barbe HS, LA). Delaney has opened eyes in the past with his electric speed, posting a 6.49 laser-timed 60-yard dash at the Future Games, and shows easy ability to defend the middle of the field at a high-level. A returning starter for the perennial power, Barbe HS, David has shown to be a reliable backstop with quality receiving and blocking skills, and a strong, accurate arm. Additionally, the right-handed hitter peaked our interest during August’s Future Games, putting together consistent quality at-bats, collecting his fair share of hits against some of the top pitching prospects the country has to offer.

The event is loaded with several highly ranked 2021 prospects, including OF Brock Slaton (University Lab HS, LA) and IF/RHP Seaver Sheets (Sterlington HS, LA). At July’s Southern Louisiana Open, Slaton showed off an advanced hit tool from the left side, showing present power with bat speed and strength at contact. Son of former Major League All-Star, Ben Sheets, Seaver Sheets impressed many during August’s Future Games. The left-handed hitting middle infielder showed advanced feel for the game, both offensively and defensively. Using a simple, direct path, Sheets consistently put the barrel on the baseball all weekend against some of the best arms from around the country.
