The Bayou Preseason ID took place on Saturday January 14th, at Southland Field in Houma, LA. The open event saw players from all across the state of Louisiana in attendance.

Infield

+ Fabian Bernal, IF, John Paul Stevens(TX), 2019
A 5-foot-6, 115-pound infielder with a small, athletic frame. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, leg lift, solid lower half, and quality balance. Line-drive type hitter, fluid rhythm, level path with bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 77 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, and clean exchanges.  Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 72 mph. Also posted a 7.34 60-yard dash.

+ Tom Biggs, IF, West Monroe, 2019
Currently ranked No. 14 in Louisiana’s 2019 class. Strong 5-foot-11, 187-pound frame, athletic build. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, explosive lower half and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with slightly early rhythm, level to slightly uphill path, strength at contact, present power to pull side and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 90 mph. Solid defender with average hands, solid footwork, and clean exchanges, Long arm action into high-3/4 release with carry and accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 88 mph. Also posted a 7.1 60-yard dash.

A 5-foot-5, 135-pound infielder with a small, athletic frame. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and solid balance. Line-drive type hitter with some rhythm, length to path, and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 75 mph. Solid defender with average hands, solid footwork, and slow, but clean exchanges. A 5-foot-7, 218-pound first-baseman. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, explosive lower half, and solid balance. Gap to gap type approach, fluid rhythm, uphill path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 79 mph. Solid defender with average hands, solid footwork and clean exchanges.
