X-FACTOR
Louisiana State recruit, OF Daniel Cabrera, moved to Baton Rouge over the summer and enrolled at Parkview Baptist. Cabrera has been a standout performer since his freshmen season at John Curtis, as well as, cementing himself as one of the premier left-handed hitters in the country. The addition of Cabrera to the Parkview lineup gives the Eagles a massive jolt of energy. As well, Cabrera will also add to the depth of the Eagle pitching staff with a fastball that sits 86-88 mph, touching 90 mph, and above average feel for a changeup.

OUTLOOK
Coach Darron Mitchell is one of the most well-respected coaches in not only, the Baton Rouge area, but also the state of Louisiana. Parkview Baptist has a track record of winning, and developing college players. The addition of Cabrera certainly raises the stock of this year’s club to legitimate contender status.

BOTTOM LINE
The Eagles are a talented group that returns five starters, including LSU- Eunice recruit, IF Logan Toups. The Eagles should will have depth to their lineup, with the ability to score runs. They will be counting on several newcomers to step up and take on expanded roles on the mound, but the addition of a premier two-way standout, like Cabrera, lightens that burden.
