ZACHARY, LA  Ì¶  Thursday, March 8th the Prep Baseball Report Louisiana scouting staff traveled over to Zachary HS, as the No. 1 ranked, and undefeated, Zachary Broncos faced off in double header action against perennial powers, Destrehan HS and West Monroe HS.

The Broncos would take both contests, and remain undefeated (12-0) heading into Friday’s and Saturday’s matchups. Coach Fisher’s club continues to get strong pitching performances, as well as, defending at a high level.

Eventually picking up a 3-0 win against Destrehan in game 1 of the day, the Broncos were challenged, as 2018 RHP Bryce Scioneaux (Destrehan HS, LA) was dominant for much of the contest, bringing a no-hitter into the 5th.

2018 RHP Joey Blanchard (Zachary HS, LA) would give them another quality start in game two against West Monroe. Allowing only 2 runs, and 0 earned runs, on only 2 hits in 5 innings to pick up a win, as the Bronco offense would explode for 14 runs and 12 hits to claim the 14-2 victory.
