Today we begin our player analysis from the Northeast Prospect ID hosted at the Ripken experience in Aberdeen, MD. Over the course of the next week we will be releasing the positional analysis articles with detailed scouting reports on each player in attendance. We shall also identify top performers in each positional category along with a younger talent (2018 and younger) as a Future Watch if applicable.

Today we start off with Outfielders and Catchers

TOP PERFORMERS

Trent Gast-Woodard C Archbishop Curley 2018
Strong frame at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds. Ran a 7.96 60-yard dash. Hits from a balanced, slightly open set up. Quiet load and short stride. Quick bat through the zone.  Nice extension through contact. Shows power potential to whole field. Exit velo of 92 mph.  A low, slightly open set up receiving. Good sway and hip control moving on the ball. Soft hands receiving and sticks ball well. Clean exchange and sound footwork to throwing position. Short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws had some carry at 76 mph. Pop times of 1.85 – 1.93.

Matthew Migliozzi OF/RHP Sherwood 2017
Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Ran a 7.00 60-yard dash. Hits from a athletic, tall set up. Smooth load with short stride. Shows nice rhythm in swing. Level path to the ball through contact. Gets lower half involved. Exit velo of 92 mph.  Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Good first step on breaks. Has quick, loose arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws had carry on them at 84 mph.

Garrett Mcilhenney OF Calvert Hall 2019
Athletic frame with room to grow at 5-foot-5, 125-pounds. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Hits from a athletic, open set up. Smooth load. Short, quick bat path to the ball with a pull side approach. Exit velo of 74 mph. Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Has quick, compact arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws at 69 mph.

BEST OF THE REST (ALPHABETICAL ORDER)

Jordan Adair OF Avon Grove 2018
Athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds. Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Hits from a slightly open set up.  Smooth load with a long stride that lands closed.  Showed good hand speed through the zone. Exit velo of 80 mph. Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Has loose arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws at 74 mph, more extension on throws will increase carry on them.

Seth Bialecki OF St. Mark's (DE) 2018
Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Hits from an open set up with a smooth, balanced load with rhythm. Creates a good stretch effect on his load to stride. Good extension through contact. Exit velo of 80 mph.  Has quick, loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. Throws had good carry on them at 86 mph.

Nick Brown OF Archbishop Curley 2018
Strong frame at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Hits from a square, athletic set up. Smooth load with good rhythm throughout swing. Level path to the ball and uphill through contact. Gets good use of lower half. Shows some power potential. Exit velo of 90 mph. Clean exchange into release on throws. Has a compact arm action from a high ¾ slot. Throws had some carry at 79 mph. That should increase with move lower half used in throws.

Jack Glock C Loyola Blakefield 2017
Strong frame at 6-foot-0, 210-pounds. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Hits from a tall, square set up. Smooth load with balance to hitting position. Level path to the ball and uphill through contact. Quick hands through zone, shows some power potential. Exit velo of 84 mph.  Low, square set up receiving. Good sway and hip control moving on the ball. Soft hands receiving and sticks ball well. Clean exchange and sound footwork to throwing position. Short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws had carry at 79 mph. Pop times of 1.90-2.01.

Kyle Kuba C/OF Old Mill 2017
Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Hits from a slightly open set up with a higher leg kick and closes slightly upon land. Shows balance and rhythm. Spins at times on backside. More power available when he drives hips more. Exit velo of 84 mph. Slightly open set up receiving. Good sway and hip control moving on the ball. Soft hands receiving and sticks ball well. Short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Carry will improve as he transfers weight to front side more. POP times of 1.99-2.07. Throws at 73 mph from behind the plate.

Zachary Lauer OF James M Bennett 2018
Lean frame at 5-foot-10, 125-pounds. Ran a 8.00 60-yard dash. Hits from a slightly open, athletic set up. Shows balance throughout the swing. Smooth rhythm in load. Level path through contact. Exit velo of 75 mph.  Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Has quick, loose arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws at 75 mph.

Jordan Myers OF Georgetown Prep 2017
Athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Hits from a athletic, slightly open set up. Minimal load with short stride. Shows nice rhythm in swing. Short bat path to the ball with a middle approach. Nice extension through contact. Exit velo of 80 mph.  Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Has quick, compact arm action throwing from a over the top arm slot. Throws had some carry on them at 82 mph.

Wesley Stallings OF St. Mary's 2019
Lean frame with room to grow at 5-foot-11, 145-pounds. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Hits from a wide, square set up. Minimal load with no stride. Level path to the ball and uphill through contact. Shows balance throughout swing. Exit velo of 79 mph.  Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Has a compact arm action throwing from a low ¾ arm slot. Throws at 64 mph. Carry will improve as he finishes out in front more through throws.
