 DETROIT - Interest from a PBR Future Games video helped carve out the college destination for Jon Campbell Jr.
“They saw a video and got some good information from coaches,” the Detroit Country Day junior said of Boston College. “Then I went to a camp there and they saw me pitch a bullpen, hit in the cages and field ground balls. They also wanted to see how coachable I was. After that I saw part of the campus. Two weeks later they came to a game.” To that point, Western Michigan, Michigan State and Bowling Green were tops on the list of potential colleges for the 11th-ranked player in the state’s 2019 class. |
