Daily Roundup: April 23 Games



Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 12 No. 20 Warren De La Salle 3 – River Rymsha had a big day at the plate going 4-5 with two homeruns, five RBI, and three runs scored. Julian Jones also had a big day with two homeruns of his own going 3-5 with three RBI and two runs. Tyson Smith was 3-4 with a homerun, four RBI, and two runs scored. Conor Bowers got the win throwing six innings allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out nine.

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 11 No. 20 Warren De La Salle 9 F/8 – St. Mary’s scored in the top of the seventh to extend the game then got two in the top of the eighth to win. Joe Giacalone threw 5.1 innings in relief allowing one run, one hit, and striking out six to get the win. River Rymsha had another good game going 2-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Julian Jones and Mike Hodgins each drove in two runs.

Bishop Foley 8 Lutheran North 0 – Mike Murley threw a three hit shutout allowing two walks and striking out seven. Mike Reid was 2-4 with a solo homerun and three runs scored. Chad Gravlin was 2-3 with two runs, Grys was 2-5 with a RBI, and Billy Malak was 2-4 with a run scored. Brad Baldwin and Austin Lukaschewski each drove in two runs.

Cranbrook Kingswood 11 Riverview Gabriel 4 – Zach Feldman got the win throwing four shutout innings allowing one hit, two walks, and striking out two. At the plate he led the offense going 4-5 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Alex Roed was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and a run scored and Cameron Maxwell drove in a run and scored once. 

Parkway Christian 10 Southfield Christian 0 – Ryan Stewart threw four shutout innings allowing three hits and striking out six to get the win. The offense combined for 14 hits and had five players with multi-hit games. Derek Dudek and Patrick Lapinski each went 2-4 with two RBI, Dudek scored once and Lapinski scored twice. Nick Halaas, Wes Gross, and Cole Kasperowicz each went 2-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

Shrine Catholic 17 West Bloomfield Jewish Academy 0 – Shrine scored 17 runs in the first inning on their way to a three inning win. Nick Pollack threw all three innings needing just 31 pitches, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out six. Cam Cavazos was 2-2 with a triple, four RBI, and three runs scored. Jacob Weshalek and Connor Francek each went 2-2 with two runs scored, Weshalek drove in one run and Francek drove in two.

Skyline 11 Adrian 6 – Patrick Lewis finished 3-3 on the day with two doubles, a RBI, and three runs scored. Jack Clark was 2-3 with a homerun, two RBI, and a runs scored and Matt Blunk was 3-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Liam Arnoff was 2-2 and Joel Frison doubled, drove in two runs and scored once.

Southgate Anderson 3 Woodhaven 2 F/9 – Bobby Bellon scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth on an error. Shane Freitag and Greg Galetto each had a hit and drove in a run and Paul Sullivan scored twice. Josh Lockwood got the no decision throwing eight innings allowing two unearned runs, three hits, and striking out 10. Tyler Hall got the win throwing the ninth allowing one hit and striking out two. 

St. Charles 10 North Branch 0- Ryan Ormiston threw a no-hitter in Game 1.  Ormiston struck out 11 hitters and did not surrender a single walk. 

St. Charles 7 North Branch 3- Ormiston added another three hits to his total, taking him to 6-7 on the day.

Breckenridge 1 Frankenmuth 5- Hunter Gatza had an RBI double to help lead Frankenmuth in a shortened game Tuesday.

Identical scores in both games as Alphonso Foster and Noah Reed both threw no-hitters for Flint Carmen-Ainsworth.

Andrew Click and Tanner Allison powered Portland past Holt.  Click hit a big homerun while Allison went 1-3 with two RBI.
