Daily Roundup: May 23 Games

Rain knocked out most of the yesterday's action so here are the limited scores we have available:

L'Anse Creuse 9, Marine City 4: Austin Orts, Josh Fischer, and Bryton Rohde each had two hits and two RBIs for L'Anse Creuse. Lucas Lanzon struck out five while only allowing four hits in five innings for L'Anse Creuse.

Sterling Heights 13, Mt. Clemens Clintondale 4: Kevin Stanick struck out ten in six innings while only allowing four hits for Sterling Heights. At the plate he had four hits including a double and a triple. He scored two runs and had a RBI. Thomas Zula and Justin Horst each had two hits and scored two runs for Sterling Heights.

Warren Mott 6, Madison Heights Lamphere 0: John Young struck out five in a one-hit shutout for Mott. He also walked two. Maverick Dube went 3-4 with a double, Nick Maluchnik was 2-4, and Pierson Heythaler was 1-3 for Mott.

Hartland 4, Dexter 0- Jake Lowery threw a two-hit shutout against Dexter in a sloppy evening of baseball at Michigan's Ray Fisher Stadium. Lowery struck out 11 in the win and also helped himself at the plate hitting a triple. Dexter's Cole Rize threw well keeping Hartland off balance for most of the game but suffered the loss.  

Hartland 6, Dexter 5-
Hartland freshman John Baker roped a double driving in the winning run in the ninth inning.  Junior ALex Wagner got the no-decision on the night while Jordan Kesson threw four shutout innings in relief.
