Michigan Insider: On the Recruiting Trail - Mike Maher, C

Grade: 2017
Height/Weight: 6-foot, 160-pounds
High School: South Lyon
Ranking: 32nd in Michigan's 2017 recruiting class

Evaluation:  6-foot, 160-pound athlete. Maher has an athletic, even stance while stationed up in the box. He has an aggressive swing while showing power to the pull side. He also has the ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap on a line. Recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Flexible, with a solid base behind the plate. Strong arm recorded a 74 mph velocity, but has choppy footwork. Registered a best pop time of 2.00. On the infield, showed pretty good footwork with a strong arm across the diamond. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash.
